We are excited to update you all on some recent developments at Booth’s Logistics that allows us to provide greater support across the Taranaki region and increase our footprint and transport services transiting via Auckland. Both of these branches play a key part in our commitment to delivering you the best logistics solutions we can and to provide a unique Kiwi owned nationwide network that connects the regions to all key metro locations and beyond.

New fit for purpose Auckland freight hub

Starting Monday 12th August, we will move our existing freight hub operation, currently on Browns Road in Manurewa, over to a more fit for purpose facility located at 32 Bell Ave, Mount Wellington. Auckland plays a vital role in supporting all aspects of our north and south bound freight networks and we are excited to be moving to a facility that allows for greater capacity and capability, but also offers improvements in ease of operation for the benefit of our customers and our team.

Taking charge of what is one of our busiest depots, is Maree Smith, who has stepped up from previously managing our Rotorua branch and made the move north to Auckland to help support the success of this new facility.

New cross dock facility and freight depot in New Plymouth

We are also pleased to announce the move into a much more practical cross dock facility in New Plymouth located at 1/220 De Havilland Drive, Bell Block, New Plymouth. This facility is part of our ongoing effort to support the regions and improve our service coverage in and out of Taranaki.

This facility is now fully operational and being serviced daily via Palmerston North and Auckland. New Plymouth customers can access an overnight service across the North Island and a 2 – 3 day service into our South Island networks.

To oversee the New Plymouth branch, we have bought on Wayne Mehrtens who brings with him decades worth of logistics experience locally in Taranaki.
