Booth’s Logistics is excited to offer it’s Graduate Programme, offering an exceptional opportunity for graduates to gain real world hands-on experience in all key areas of logistics and supply chain management.
This programme stands out for its integration of innovative technologies, sustainable practices, and personalised mentorship from industry leaders, equipping participants to tackle modern supply chain challenges with confidence.
Over the course of the 24-month programme, graduates will rotate through different areas of the business, gaining a well-rounded understanding of logistics operations and contributing to meaningful real-world projects.
ROTATION 1
Operational Foundations
(5 months)
- Gain hands-on experience in transport operations processes, such as planning, dispatching and freight management.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) like delivery accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Shadow team leaders to understand how operational decisions are made and implemented.
- Contribute to projects that improve operational workflows and address day-to-day challenges.
ROTATION 2
Warehouse Management
(5 months)
- Work with advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) to oversee inventory tracking and order management.
- Participate in optimising warehouse layouts and implementing efficient storage solutions.
- Learn strategies for inventory control, loss prevention and cycle counting.
- Explore automation tools to improve productivity.
ROTATION 3
Customer and Business Development
(5 months)
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
- Learn to create and deliver persuasive sales pitches tailored to customer needs.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and growth opportunities.
- Participate in negotiating contracts and developing strategies for customer retention and satisfaction.
- Learn about account management and upselling services.
ROTATION 4
Technology and Innovation
(5 months)
- Explore the use of automation, opportunities for AI driven analytics and digital tools in logistics.
- Work on sustainability projects like carbon footprint tracking and our Toitu Decarbonisation programme.
- Contribute to projects focused on digital transformation and process optimisation.
- Collaborate with IT and/or transformational teams to implement new technologies.
ROTATION 5
Leadership Development
(4 months)
- Take the lead on a major cross-functional project to solve a real business challenge, such as reducing costs or improving delivery performance.
- Apply knowledge from previous rotations to create actionable solutions.
- Work closely with senior leaders for mentorship and feedback.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership for evaluation.
